  • Well, I have good news and I have bad news. First the good news I decided to plug in the USB, as soon as I did files were being loaded. Then I launched the 'driver' file, then I went to device manager and picked from list and found it and selected it. TIP = need to uncheck the box called "show compatiable hardware" The bad…

  • Alan, I really appreciate your help on this. However, none of those suggestions made it work. I unintalled the Generic PnP Monitor and on anotehr try i also disabled it. When I right click on the driver file, it tells me that the operation successfully completed but there is absolutely no evidence that it had. I've been…

  • Following windows instructinos for safe boot, I managed to navigate to your instructions and "disable Driver Signature... Then I successfully executed the file which was downloaded. By right clicking on file and selecting ' install '. A message said that it was successful. I restarted. Then nothing was any different than…

  • Thanks for those who have responded. I just need to know what they expect a regular person to do with a hckx file. The "driver file" which is downloaded is called: FT2150(1A2M)_Pass(Win8)_sign.hckx Other posters say we should submit this to microsoft. That does not make any sense at all, why wouldn'd ACER do that? And even…

  • Thanks for taking the time to respond. I have already followed those steps several times. I did scan the computer for the driver which was downloaded (in the download folder) however the file that the ACER people deliver is not recognized by my compuer because the driver file they have you down load is an hckx file.

  • Just navigate to support, enter the monitor model, a file will be presented to download. Problem is, you can't install it...see previous posts on that issue. I'm still waiting for some kind of explanation...

  • I have the same issue, however I have windows 8.1. I downloaded the 'driver' from this website however when I try to launch this file windows does not associate this file type with anything (and either do I). How do I launch it or do I ? Nice monitor but not fully functioning yet.
