  • I am on the same thinking path as you. I am convinced its driver related somehow? Would it perhaps help if I try and restore Windows back to a previous date, say one week ago?
  • Ok, for some funny reason the Intel driver reverted back to the 2015 version. I uninstalled it and re-installed it again and the video problem is solved now however the HDMI problem still persists. Thank you so much once again for the help and support thus far.

I have attached a screenshot of what the device manager shows under the monitor section, its like there are a few other monitors shown which I am not totally sure belong? From what I can see, the HDMI port monitor is not actively visible…
  • Ok, I will try and explain as well as I can. When I boot into Ubuntu and the HDMI port is connected, it boots the monitor. Once I boot into Windows 10 using the HDMI port without anything else connected (no other monitor), it does not boot the monitor. Only the DP boots a monitor. So in essence, the HDMI port doesn't work…
  • I have done what you have suggested, the drivers are now the latest ones, the Intel and NVIDIA. However still no HDMI. I have researched this problem the whole afternoon and still no luck
