  • Mini-tool partition wizard compatible with GPT/MBR disks with either uefi or vanilla BIOS systems. As stated previously have used this many times to clone system disks without a hitch.
  • Yes, both the original and latest/last windows BIOS version P11B4. I came to the same conclusion - don't suppose Acer can be bothered to fix an issue on a 5 year old model.   • I think, early days, that I may have resolved this in a very round about way. As SFC/Chkdsk didn't help, I tried fiddling with the BIOS options. I disabled secure boot & CSM, saved and restarted - first time on restart there was no boot device. Problem appeared as before. I went back into BIOS and restored those settings…
  • One thing I forgot to say is that pressing CRTL/Alt/del, the screen does black out before then returning to the Acer spash screen
