  • Thanks, I'm thinking about placing the ssd drive inside the laptop, even if I connect it through a usb port. Would that be a problem, for example would the heat it generates be an issue?
  • I've scanned my laptop with Crucial and my laptop can indeed be upgraded. It's just that there's no SATA connector on the motherboard. The device is missing - I can see a spot where I can screw it on the motherboard, but it's just not there.
  • Did some research on internet - the "slot" is apparently called a SATA connector. I don't have one. Can I buy that somewhere? How do I know which specs are correct for the connector? Does it need to be soldered or just plugged? This is seriously weird.
