  • Backlight bleed occours mostly due to backlight led not sealed properly with the lcd and its a maufaturing issue, and it can be usually retified by changing the display. My previous system also had a huge backlight bleed which used to disappear when I applied pressure to surrounding bezel. You can ask acer to change the…
  • are you sure that 960evo is supported? as I contacted the acer india support helpline and they told me that onle SATA M.2 drives are supported for the model (i5,1050ti).
  • i7 model comes with gtx1050 , i5 one comes with a gtx 1050ti which is better for gaming.
  • This is my replacement laptops screen, no light bleeding, bright spots you see are ips glow which is normal and is very hardly visible by naked eye.
  • I can post some image tonight after I reach home.
  • Contact acer support, I did the same before returning it to flipkart, the acer technician said that he can try to fix it by opening the device, if it doesnt get fixed after that he was willing to change the display.
  • Yes I got it replaced, the new unit has a little light bleed but that is acceptable for an IPS display.
  • Yes this should be compatible, as the acer support told me the M.2 slot supports SATA SSD. also, did you confirm that we can get our own ssd installed from them or do we need to buy one from them?
  • They aggred for a replacement, I will most probably be getting a replacement unit today.
  • This is my screen, I am getting it replaced as there is too much light bleed at the top left part.
  • I am still waiting for filpkart to replace my unit. Display has light bleeding issue, one of the key fell off within a weak, I am worried about the buid quality of the product. Performace is fine for the price, hard disk is pretty slow, takes minutes to boot into windows, installing an ssd will help a lot.
  • You can replace the hard disk with a 2.5 inch SSD in the provided hard disk slot without opening up the whole bottom. To simultaneously use a SSD and HDD you have to open the complete bottom pannel and install an M.2 SATA SSD on the M.2 slot provided on the motherboard. (not sure about PCIe SSD support)
  • Here you go - NHQ2QSI002
  • Getting an ssd installed at service center will not void the warranty, but the ssd prices there will be higher and I don't know if they will install an ssd brought from the market. I only played gta 5 on it which is giving 45+fps on very high, 60+ if I drop down to high. Its the best configuration that you can get for the…
  • You can upgrade to m.2 sata ssd like this one ADATA m.2 sata SSD, but I'm still waiting to see if someone is able to Install an NVMe SSD to the laptop as NVMe SSD are way faster then SATA ssd. also you can't install an ssd yourself without voiding the warranty as installing the ssd requires to open up the whole bottom of…
  • I contacted acer support regrding the ssd on the same modal (i5, 1050ti) but they informed me that the M.2 slot only supports SATA ssd and not NVMe. I am still wating for someone to verify if NVMe will work on the system. This the quote form acer support " Thank you for contacting Acer India Helpdesk. As per the shared…
