I did reload the OS from the Update.zip file, thank you for those instructions. It still wants a pasword at start up. GRRRR! frustrating! Any other tips to try?

I found out that it is an A500. I was able to update the OS to 4.0 Ice cream sandwich, but the password lock is still there. How do I go about performing a factory reset to wipe it all clean? Thanks for you help.

I am sorry for the lack of information, I don't know the model, but my guess is a Iconia of some type. I was asked by my daughter to see if I can get this working. When I try to reset it by holding down the power and volume it seems to be looking to access an SD card. There is no SD card in the tablet. Is there a place I…
