  • yes, its the one Acer provides in the Orion 5000 i bought. i was able to change rgb with Predator Sense. but with getting a new motherboard, Predator Sense can no longer be installed and no other rgb software recognizes the hub or the rgb fans so i cant control the rgb anymore
  • their desktop versions very so much. my 5000 looks like this —— https://imgur.com/a/s6sstuY its just weird the hub doesnt work and why the rgbs are female to male. everything i see online regarding rgb fans or strips are usually the male into the fan and female for the motherboard. they got this backwards, i dont…
  • nope, only JRGB 1,2 and JRAINBOW 1,2 which those are only 3 pin headers. but Acer jimmy rigged the rgb with female connectors that go into mini 4 pins that you see plugged in the 1,2 and 3 slot in the hub you see in the pic. even if i dont use the hub. id have to somehow find female to female cables to plug in this mess…
  • yes i got a hub with mine, ill attach photos. i got an MSI MPG z490 gaming edge wifi motherboard. i tried msi center, it detected everything except what was connected to the acer hub. i tried every other rgb software under the sun and still nothing. im thinking that MAYBE since its an acer hub, that its somehow locked to…
  • yes im running at 3200mhz with xmp enabled. main reasons why i want to do this is because i want to tighten ram timings and do a custom CPU overclock to see if it possibly makes it perform better and give better temps since Acer locks the bios and makes this impossible. And while if i were to do this i would most likely…
  • ok so i seem to have found the fix. i uninstalled my ssd in device manager, restarted my pc then tested and still had slow write speeds. i then went into policies, unticked write caching and then re-enabled it and voila my write speeds are back to normal. i have no idea why this is the case, seems like an odd glitch of…
  • i just finished swapping back to the old ram and still have the same problem. could it be possible the new bios update (R01-A3) did this? or maybe when i changed from rst premium to ahci then back to rst premium? if so how would i go about fixing that?
  • images of my bios https://imgur.com/a/JKg9Jp1 https://imgur.com/a/NU88Z4h
  • yes my memory runs at 3200mhz in task manager cause i have enabled xmp in bios already. my NVMe Samsung MZVLQ512HALU-00000 is where my OS is installed and i have a 2TB hard drive for storage. but in disk management for some reason my 2TB is listed as disk 0 and my NVMe is listed as disk 1 which is very confusing. in my…
  • yes its a 3200mhz xmp corsair vengeance rgb pro with xmp enabled in bios. could that actually make my ssd slower?
  • i probably shouldnt of change from rst to ahci since it came with rst but when i was trying to look for ideas a lot of threads were saying to try ahci and since rst is discontinued and the service in windows 10 would throw an error whenever i tried to turn it on i went ahead and tried ahci
  • im not seeing anything in resource monitor that would be causing this sort of problem. i know i did some benchmarks before getting a new ram kit and speeds were fine. i changed my ram and a few days later i updated the bios firmware. now i dont know if its for one of those reasons or when i decided to change from rst…
  • on cpu-z my southbridge shows as intel z490 which is overclockable if i remember that right and in my bios theres a tab under advanced cpu configuration to enable xmp. its currently greyed out since my current ram isnt xmp, but if i got xmp ram would the ones i linked work properly?
  • taking that as a no lol thank you
