  • @ carlgt1 I have an aspire v3-772g too. I haven't been able to find working drivers for ethernet ( the chipset driver from acer doesn''t support ethernet in Win7 ) Did you find a working driver??
  • Hello there...i had the same problem...graphics kept crashing on Win8...i flashed the bios...the bios locked...Acer service in my country was asking 40 euros to unlock it (!!!)...i found a key generator online (Lucky!!!!!) disabled uefi and now i'm trying to install win7. A usb 3 controller was found by another member of…
  • OK guys i got it!the bios was locked after the flash i did but i found a key generator on google and it totaly worked!!! Then i changed the boot type from UEFI to LEGACY and i was able to reinstall windows!!!!Now i just have to identify if the cause of all the shutdowns was a hardware issue. P.S. Acer service in my country…
  • Does the screen show anything? Acer logo or the components of the machine? If the screen is showing anything have u tried to press F2 to enter the bios?not FN & f2, just F2.
  • It doesn't recognise the otical drive or the usb in order to do a repair with windows and when i press F2 to enter the BIOS it asks for a password
  • OK I tried to update BIOS to 1.08 (from 1.06) and now i lost the boot menu! after the restart comes up a screen that say that there is nothing to boot from!!!!!
  • Thanks for the help but i saw the posts and checked about the BIOS already... mine came with BIOS 1.06 and i didn't do any changes cause of the problems that other users reported.
  • I got all drivers from acer site, using the model's S/N... The installation order seems a good idea though... i installed 1)chipset 2)AHCI driver 3)AMT 4)Audio 5)Bluetooth 6)Cardreader 7)TouchPad 8)WLAN 9)VGA Intel 10)VGA Nvidia Anything wrong with the order?
  • By shuts down i mean complete shut down, black screen, no power, no nothing and i have to push the power button to start again and log on to windows. I haven't checked the temp yet but it seems a bit off to me that the gpu overheats just by installing the driver, or trying to play a low-requirements game like LoL.
  • By now i have tried all drivers available in Nvidia site both beta and stable, custom install (only driver option and clean install) and express install...nothing seems to do the trick. Is it a hardware issue? Should i just return it and buy another notebook?
  • Now i got a copy of Win8 and installed them. Then i installed all of Acer's drivers but as soon as i try to instal the Nvidia driver ( after the intel graphics driver offcourse )the machine shuts down by it self. Then i downloaded the latest driver from the Nvidia site, tried to instal and the same thing happened again.…
  • My machine came with Linux that did not had drivers for the track pad so, since i dont own a copy of Win8 it's gonna be difficult...any other suggestions?
