  • Yes of course I already tried (as indicated in my post). Again, the problem with installing 3rd party applications on Kitkat is they are not allowed to save to SDCard. A1-840FHD only has 8gb internal storage which is really not enough if you are going to make it as your storage for your pictures and videos.
  • Thanks for sharing billsey! Though my purpose in asking was to know if it would make any difference in terms of battery life if I just leave it turned on or off overnight while I'm sleeping?
  • Hi su1, You can find list of MHL supported devices here: http://www.meetmhl.com/devices.aspx I can't find A1-810 though... As with HDMI support, yes you can use micro HDMI to HDMI to connect to your TV. "If you are satisfied with my answer just press 'KUDOS!' thanks!"
  • Sorry Sonicdue, I already know how to change my screen's wallpaper. But my question clearly states "per" desktop screen. Meaning each screen gets its own unique wallpaper. I'm also using my nokia c7 and it has that capability. So I was just wondering why android tablets or cellphones can't do that too? I believe billsey…
  • Hi MrPikachu, The 10 inches model you mentioned is not equiped with the intel processor. It has MediaTek MT8127 Quad-core and based on the information here... http://www.mediatek.com/en/products/mobile-communications/tablet/mt8127/ ... I think it's not a 64bit processor. But if you really want a 10" tablet and you can…
  • Sonic, I think getting the Lollipop update is important for our device. I heard that the update would increase the battery life. I think it's most probably because it is a 64 bit OS and in a 64 bit device. It would be take advantage of the 64 bit architecture capabilities. Though this is only my guess. I'm no computer…
  • Hi MrPikachu1998, Yes it is really a 64bit tablet. But sad to say it's only Kitkat and NOT Lollipop. Getting it to Lollipop is hopeless as of the moment since there are no news about any development for Acer tabs on Lollipop. I don't really know why they are so left behind? *Hope you can click on "Kudos!" if you liked my…
  • "Pixels suck power..." You are definitely correct billsey! Though I only wish Acer thought about that too and increase the battery capacity a bit since it's FHD!
  • I got my Acer A1-840FHD last month and I would not say that it's worth it nor could I say that I hate it too... Here's what I don't like: 1. Battery life is pretty weak. You're going have to recharge it everyday if you are going to play games with it and browse some website. I played PVZ2 and post pictures and browse posts…
  • Hi Oscar, I highly doubt that it's a lollipop update. Dual app modus or you mean split screen update of acer? Is your tablet new? When I got my tablet, I have to download 2 big updates. Maybe there's some problem with your wifi connection? Try to update manually by going to Settings->About tablet->System updates->Check Now
  • Hey Ironfly, maybe you can also recommend a great battery saving widget or app for my battery problems stated on my other thread: http://community.acer.com/t5/Android-Tablets/Acer-Iconia-Tab-8-A1-840FHD-battery-life/m-p/362282#U362282 Thanks!
  • Any solutions for this problem is highly appreciated thanks!
  • Thanks Ironfly! I've tried the app and it was the app I was looking for!
  • In your 8 hrs and 40 mins, does it include HD games like asphalt 8, NOVA, etc? or just browsing and watching stuff? Does the Intel Battery Saver app really makes any difference?
  • Indeed! What we really need to know is if Acer is going to ever going release lollipop updates for our Intel 64 bit tablets? Is there any plan or no plan at all?
  • Battery life of Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-840FHD really sucks! You are going to have to charge it everyday! >_< I hate having to charge my tablet everyday! Any solution or suggestions would be great! I heard that a Lollipop on our tablets would give around 45 mins more battery life. Then again, when would that every happen!
  • I think lollipop update is very important to 64 bit devices specially Iconia Tab 8 FHD to maximize its capability and take advantage of 64 bit...
