  • Also, this have been a problem for many people after upgrading their computers to Windows 10. So, do you have Windows 10 on your pc?
  • Hi I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but here's a link to another thread on this forum with a similar problem. Maybe you can get some help of this: http://community.acer.com/t5/2014-Archives/quot-No-bootable-device-Hit-any-key-quot-Error-on-my-laptop-upon/td-p/208621
  • All drivers should be updated. No yellow exclamations in Device manager. Is there any diagnostic tool that can check mainboard or PSU for problems? By the way, the computer has been ok for many hours now. Earlier today the computer freezed/stoped maybe 10 times in a few hours. I do not play games or run any heavy programs…
  • I have Samsung Magician installed on my computer and it says I have the latest firmware installed.
  • I did as you told me. No memory error was found. I forgot to say I installed a SSD (Samsung EVO 850) maybe a month ago. My Win 10 OS and all programs are on the SSD and my HDD is only for backups and storage purpose. I have been reading on some forums that there have been a bit problem with some SSD's, but Samsung is maybe…
  • Hi After looking at Event Viewer - System, the only Error I could find was this: Kerner-Power (41) 63 Error. But this error is at the time I forced my computer to shut down with Power button. There is no other error at the time my computer starts freezing.
  • I find it strange if your computer M3970 is not supported by Windows 10. My computer Acer Aspire M3920, which is older, is not on the list eighter, but I run Windows 10 without any serious trouble. I think there must be some driver/bios issue or any other hardware problem causing this usb trouble. Here's a link which you…
  • Regardign OEM OS. I've been talking to a person working as a Microsoft community moderator and he says I have to call a special phone number to Microsoft and tell them I've bought a new mb and cpu. Then Microsoft will activate my OEM licence for Win 10 against my new mb and cpu. This information is confirmed by a…
  • What I'm trying to do? Today I have av Aspire M3920, i3-2100, 6gb ram, 1tb hdd, dvd player, Acer mb and Amd radeon HD 6570. I've installed a Samsung Evo 850 SSD 120gb in my Acer computer, running Win 10. I have not decided yet, but I'm thinking of replacing my mb, cpu, ram and cabinet with an upgrade kit consisting of…
  • Thanks again. To clarify, I have nothing against the Acer.
  • Ok. But what is it that define the serial number in BIOS? And if the rest of the hardware in the computer is like, Kingston, Toshiba, AMD, Samsung etc. etc, I guess there will be no drivers from Acer ?
  • The shutdown issue tepco is describing is exactly the same as I had on my Acer Aspire M3920 desktop pc. It doesn't matter if it's a laptop or desktop, or Acer, HP, Lenovo, Dell or other computer brands. On Microsoft community there is a lot of threads about the same issue. Most people having this problem seems to be HP…
  • I'm running the upgrade alternative for Win 10 and set option to not keep programs, files and settings. This is as close as possible to a clean install of Windows 10. My computer work fine with this option. A "real clean install" was the problem for my computer. I tried four different drivers for IMEI, and tried every…
  • It's good to see that it solved the shutdown problem on your computers. I also tried to change the "Intel Management Engine Interface" driver, but that did not solve the problem on my computer. So, it may work on some computer, but not for everyone.
  • Now the SSD works perfect, after complete install of Windows 10 and other programs. SATA mode is set to AHCI. I then connected the HDD, wiped both partitions, formated it and it now will serve as backup and storrage purpose. I tested it and it is ok. Only one question remains, not a big issue. My HDD have to partitions. D:…
  • I tried a clean install of Windows 10 on the new SSD and it works. I disconected the HDD and the SATA mode is set to AHCI. Does this mean I can not use my old HDD to storrage purpuse later? I'll see what happens when I try to connect the HDD later when I'm finished with all installations.
  • No, it was not possible to boot in RAID mode with only SSD connected. Then I guess I'll try to find the correct way to enter REGISTRY_KEY and change the settings there. It looks like this is the only solution to the problem. Thanks
  • Acer Aspire M3920 (Windows 10) Intel Core i3-2100 3.10 Ghz When I boot the computer in RAID mode I get a flash a few seconds of some text similar to this I found in a other forum: http://postimg.org/image/kerm68q2v/ It's some thing about "Non-Raid Disk" on both my HDD and SSD. And when I switch Onboard SATA mote from RAID…
  • Hmm... I'm not sure. I made some google search and there seems to be some problem regarding Raid and Ahci settings. On some computers the diskdriver in Windows is deactivated and have to be activated before switching from RAID to AHCI mode. I tried to download a QuickFix file from Microsoft support but the fix was for…
