  • We are in the same boat now - with 1040 tablets in service and cannot source keyboards. We have found the keyboards to be quite susceptable to power issues, we have even had some get hot and turn our asset labels brown with heat. The usual problem is that the USB doesn't work. Good luck sourcing them.
  • This issue keeps continuing, and as mentioned we have 1040 tablets in our fleet, however about 30 are out for repair due to this issue. We don't know what causes it and our only advice from Acer is to send it back to replace the motherboard. Acer will run out of motherboards eventually, then what? It would be great to at…
  • Yeah no worries, tried all these. I thought the task bar control panel was something different.
  • I'm having similar issues with the W511, we have over 1000 of them in our agency and about 30-40 have developed this issue. There are other threads in this forum where we discuss it. We have sent two units back to Acer Sydney and are still awaiting advice. I'd be interested in trying the HD software you installed, if you…
  • SNID **** [edited for privacy - please use the Private Message system for personal/unique information] This tablet is one of the two that were sent to Acer for 'investigation' - or local service agent Iris Computing in Hobart forwarded to the Acer Sydney office. (The TB# is our internal asset number). We also have a fleet…
  • sure thing, when I return to work on Monday, I'll track down the numbers. We have another dozen or so waiting in the wings hoping for a resolution. We are using a corporate image deployed by SCCM, still using Win 8.0 My tablet (with the problem) is running 9.14.3.1170 but the standard image has a previous driver. I've…
  • We have deployed almost 1000 of these devices in our dept. I see this problem regularly, especially when it says battery two not present. Our quick remedy is swap keyboards onto a second tablet - then swap them back and they will detect again. I suppose this isn't much help if you only have the one tablet. I assume a…
  • Windows + P will allow you to select duplicate, extend etc - but when you select one it will always go back to PC screen only. Then screen resolution option will only detect the tablet display and not identify any other monitor (we've tried many makes and models). This issue has our whole IT dept stumped. Some people…
  • I'm the project manager of our agency tablet deployment and we have about a dozen users (of 900+) that have this same issue. I have previously posted in this forum with no real result. Our specific issue is that the HDMI port won't produce a display - either with HDMI or VGA adaptor. External monitors etc simply to not get…
  • No, won't detect at all. You don't even get a green light on the monitor when connected. Although t detects instantly with the usb vga adaptor connected. I know it sounds like hardware, but one of other uses has now used three tablets and each time the problem occurs. These tablets are straight out of the box and have been…
  • We are doing an enterprise deployment so I would prefer to resolve rather than upgrade to 8.1 Re-reimaged a dud tablet and it still has the same problem - identical image to other working tablets. I have however found that an extrenal USB targus dock does provide an output - although its a bit laggy. At least I have my…
  • no luck on the drivers - however I've notied two devices no longer working the Low Power Subsystem DMA Controller and UART DMA. I am having all types of trouble installing these drivers. Seems to be a common prob online. Would these affect the VGA driver
  • Thanks. Yeah, check cables - they work fine with other tablets. I haven't got a second tablet with me ATM but will check when back at work. I did install the driver pack from the support page. Current driver is 9.14.3.1170 - we haven't taken the step to Winows 8.1 yet.
