  • I found an old KDS monitor with a VGA input and it seems to be working. The Eizo may be toast, but I'll check it out later. Thank you, billsey, for forcing me to reconsider the monitor!
  • Thanks for your comment. I tried 2 different cables, VGA to DVI-D and HDMI to DVI-D. Those are the only two outputs on the Aspire and both cables are new. The only other input on the monitor is a D-Sub Mini. I'm really sure the monitor is working well, but I will verify that as soon as I can using my laptop as input.
  • Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, since I have no video, I have not been able to see or change anything. It is a new machine that has never been set up. No separate video card. I am sure the monitor is working. Is there a different way that I can confirm whether or not the Aspire has video output?
  • I have the same problem with an Aspire desktop. I am connecting the VGA output from my D17E5,Aspire TC-885 to the DVI-D input on an EIZO monitor. The monitor does not sense any input from the Aspire, which does not have a dedicated GPU. Also tried HDMI to DVI-D with the same result.
  • Thanks for your reply. I switched HDMI ports, which led to success. Kudo and acceptance as solution awarded.
  • Thanks for your reply. The TV did not detect the computer. The model is an Aspire V5-572G-6679. Must I change the display settingsto get output to the HDMI port?
