  • I am now back on the sick PC and I have checked both drivers. Windows says that both are up to date so, as you suggest, I shall now procede to check out from ATI. By the way, I first bought an AMD product in 1983 and I believe that they bought up ATI around 3 years ago. Off I go.

  • ... and, folloing up your hint, I just now tried to update the dispplay adapter driver. Result was "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date". Adapter is "ATi Radeon 3000 Graphics (Microsoft Corporation- WDDM v1.1)" ERRRR??????????
  • Sounds like good thinking - outside my box at least. Built on an ECS A780LM-M2 board powered by an AMD Athlon II and chipset AMD AS780 & Amd SB710. Can't see any separate reference to video controller.
