  • did you even look through the other threads to get your answer. i mean the thread right below yours answers your question. this was my answer to the "my monitor wont oc to 100hz question". "95hz is actually pretty good. many of the x34s will only do 90hz. this has been a topic of discussion since last summer. acer does not…
  • 95hz is actually pretty good. many of the x34s will only do 90hz. this has been a topic of discussion since last summer. acer does not guarantee 100hz, just that this model can be oc up to 100hz. this is one of the reasons they call it the x34 lottery. if this is your only issue with the monitor, you got a good one.…
  • i think what you inadvertantly did was turn on the gsync indicator in nvidia control panel. go to nvidia control panel, go to gsync, along the top as i remember you can turn on or turn off the gsync osd.
  • i see they have a driver download for the freesync version of that monitor (xz350cu). i am sure their is a driver somewhere. try calling acer tech support and see if they can send you the driver package. understand, it may not help with the issues your having, but you need to verify if this is a pc issue (gpu), display…
  • this link should take you to the driver download page for acer. you will need to copy and paste the link to your google search bar. it should take you to the acer driver download page. i tried to just click the link and it wont take you there. find your model and download the driver for your operating system. you may have…
  • could you give some pc specs, specifically the gpu. also, have you installed the acer drivers? if you have, in your device manager / monitors , does it show the z35 or generic pnp?
  • when the refresh rate display comes back, do any of your other custom settings (brightness, color, etc) change back to default? also, in your device manager / monitors, do you see your acer model or generic pnp?
  • in the settings, scroll down to the 3rd page. you should see an option for refresh rate num. make sure it is off. this is how you turn it off in the x34. the xr341ck menu might be different but i would think you should find the setting on one of the setting pages.
  • is it possible to try the monitor on another pc? also understand, if your coming from a smaller monitor your pushing alot more pixerls. you may need to adjust your settings in the nvidia control panel or try lowering your in game settings to see if you can get smooth game play. i have both the xr341ck and x34 and don't…
  • a few things to check. in your device manager, under monitor, do you see the acer. or do you see generic pnp? also, when you go to the nvidia control panel, what does it show for the resolution and refresh rate? and lastly, in your games do you have the resolution and refresh rate set correctly? if all these things look…
  • the description and sku are for just what you thought you were getting, an x34. boy, i hope it was simply a mistake by their shipping department and not in the description of what they were actually selling. please post back after you talk to customer service. good luck [edited to comply with guidelines]
  • 2 questions, how much did they charge for it? and on the order you placed, what is the part number? i believe acer considers the xr341ck a "predator", just the freesync model. a recertified x34 would still likely command about $1100.00 usd.
  • i think your correct. thats why i wanted him to try it on a computer with a more powerful gpu.
  • yeh, 144hz, but they are 1080p monitors.
  • you might try the monitor on another pc, with another dp cable. i have heard of issues with the supplied dp cable. just make sure the dp cable is certified. many are not
  • i just realized i may not have been exactly clear about "entering safe mode". you are not actually going into safe mode to disable driver sig enforcement. step by step would be. go to your start up icon , click on power options, click restart and at the same time click the shift key. you will have i believe 3 options. from…
  • when you go into windows 10 safe mode i believe you have 2 options. one of them is troubleshoot. windows 10 safe mode is nothing like previous versions of windows. you need to enter troubleshoot screen to get to your startup setrtings.
  • go to your device manager. click on monitors. if you dont see the acer model but rather generic pnp monitor then you dont have the acer drivers installed. you will need to go into windows 10 safe mode. click on troubleshoot, click on advanced options, click on startup settings, then hit restart. you will then be greeted by…

  • have you installed the xb1 monitor drivers? and if so, when you go to your device manager / monitors, does it show up? i could not get my x34 drivers to install on my first try. i had to disable driver sig enforcement before it would install properly.
