  • I suspect that the last Windows 8 upgrade made the webcam disappear, but how can I find this out? With control the device is totally gone? Or is this a hardware problem?
  • I looked in the driver database, but there does not seem to be a web cam driver, that erroneously is uninstalled...
  • There are no error messages, it appears as if the camera is not installed: Skype is telling me in "options" no camera found, the ACER crytal webcam application asks me "to turn on the camera" -- but I have no clue how to do that, and I am unavle to find the on/off button.
  • Additional information: I am using a ACER Aspire S7-319, operating system is Windows 8.
