  • I have used this battery (purchased through Acer Store in the United States) and have seen a couple things as far as status. One observation is that the computer will only charge one battery at a time. If you click on the power system icon in the system tray while the external battery is plugged in, it will say something…
  • This picture is definitely not the battery for the V5-122P http://www.rakuten.com/prod/battery-for-acer-aspire-v5-122p-0643-v5-122p-0857-v5-122p-0863-v5-122p/252633386.html?listingId=295733622 That doesn't necessarily mean they're selling the wrong battery, but I have trouble thinking it is the correct one due to the price…
  • I had horrendeous issues with Windows 8.1 on my Aspire V5. Anytime the computer went to sleep and woke up it Blue Screened with a BAD_POOL_CALLER error. The wifi connectivity became irradic and often upon connecting to a network I would get a BAD_POOL_CALLER Blue Screen. The computer became noticably slow to start up and…
  • This is the part number that Acer gave me directly(earlier in the thread). I have still had no luck with finding this battery. Finding it on a Russian site would be the closest thing so far. I would imagine that the battery could work in a couple of different models. I think the V5-132P is the same computer with an Intel…
  • Yes, that is a solution. I did not have any luck looking though a few of the English language sites. I didn't even see this laptop, unless it has a different model number elsewhere. I'm not sure how economical it would be either. It would probably just be better to find a different laptop with longer battery life.
  • In speaking with Acer, I have found out that this battery is unavailable in the U.S. and there is no current plan to make it available. It really begs the question as to why the port is on the computer(the laptop could have had a different bottom plate to cover it) and even more so why the User Guide points out that the…
  • Thank you for the feedback.
  • The screen resolution warning seems to have something to do with the screen dpi. I found that adjusting the text size gets rid of the warning. On the Screen Resolution settings of the Control Panel there is a text link that says "Make text and other items larger or smaller". When you click on it you will get to…
  • Hey, I have a V5-122P as well. It has the same message. I have seen it on other laptops before, but not all, so I don't know what is actually responsible for it. It is a pretty stupid message. I work in an electronics department of a retailer and 11 of the 13 laptops(Windows only) we sell have the 1366x768 resolution. The…
