  • It is now installing 40 processes, including a number of Windows updates; I cant seem to stop without just switching off. I did ask not to do any Windows updates until I was ready!!

  • I tried to run scannow but it said could as waiting for a repair. So decided to reinstall OS. Just at last processes for that. See if it runs without any updates.

  • Just found I can get to Safe Mode with Command prompt. From that ran chkdsk and found new SSD has no problems.

  • I spoke too soon. Started to do all the Windows Updates when a mechanical buzzing (not buzzing from speakers)followed by BSOD. Now happens most of the time; now cannot even get into Safe Mode.   • The link to a gateway Store is now a dead link. Is there any where else to buy the full OS to burn onto DVDs? I am in the UK
