  • I upgraded the Windows 7 Pro that the seller installed to Windows 10 v20H2. What I want to know is what OS was originally installed on this laptop. I don't see a Windows 7 Pro COA sticker on the bottom of the laptop. .
  • It is V5-131-2887 ShowKeyPlus program says that the motherboard does not have embedded Windows 8 or Windows 10 key. :/ It looks like the seller installed Windows 7 Pro with some sort of volume licensing key. I ran SLmgr -dli and it shows VOLUME_KMSCLIENT
  • Remove the battery and keep it out.Power on the laptop with just the charger.Does the laptop stay on?
  • This is what I would do.Remove the battery.Remove the AC adapter.Press and hold the power button.Remove the SSD. Plug in the AC adapter.And try to boot into BIOS.
  • Why do you have to disable touch?Just don't touch the screen.
  • Jamming in the charger and then wiggling it would imply that the DC jack wasn't working in the first place, doesn't it? I also hear a loud beep when I "jam" in the charger tip to get it to start charging the battery.   • I don't have an AC adapter of that size tip that is 19V. My Dell AC adapter is 19.5V. I was reading that maybe I should change the DC jack cable.   • Unless you zapped the recovery partition, Alt+F10 should let you restore to Windows 10

  • The recovery partition on this used netbook was intact. Thank goodness. http://aspiregemstone.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-to-activate-acer-hidden-partition.html helped me to be able recover/restore to Windows 7 Starter
