This ended up being the solution, you were 100% correct about the OS being bricked from the windows update. The petition itself was corrupted, and the only way I was able to salvage it was to completely reformat it and reinstall windows. Thanks for the help!

Hey, thanks for the response. Hopefully it is just windows and not the BIOS. I can't get windows to launch into safe mode, and the reset PC option is giving me a fail message for both saving and deleting personal files. ALT+F10 does not seem to do anything for me, it just loads into the same recovery environment.…
