  • MORE: Getting tired of my posts yet? Solved the portable device driver issues by assigning a drive letter to each of the card reader ports. So now still back at why computer will run all day but not turn on without playing with the usb keyboard connection. Yes, tried different keyboards.
  • Found the plugs for the USB2 and USB3 for the front panel. When I pull the USB3 cable the caution messages for WPD Files System Volume Driver disappear. I tried booting with the plug removed and no change. Put the plug in while running and no change.
  • MORE: I find that the card reader is not working. If I put a card in it appears as if it is reading it but it does not show up in Explorer.   • ANOTHER UPDATE: Put the new power supply in and that was NOT the fix. I checked settings in the BIOS and all seemed ok. Here is how I can get the computer to get past POST and operate: 1.   • Yes everything is clean. Problem is not heating since the problem only exists on power up. Once box has successfully booted it works forever. New power supply going in today.
  • UPDATE: Yes, have tried boot without any USB devices or HDMI cable. Installed a new video card to replace the onboard video. Worked for a while but then the same problem. Pulled and rotated the 3 memory sticks leaving one out a time and same problem. Replaced the CMOS batter and same problem. Today will be installing a new…
  • It is not a USB port. I found that by wiggling the HDMI cable I was able to boot the computer. I replaced the cable and that did not solve the problem. The next step is to add an PCIe video card as my box has the video on the motherboard.
