  • Well, nevermind. Problem solved I guess. I did a restart instead of a shutdown, and it looks like it started working again. Not sure why it wasn't before.
  • Windows battery meter.
  • I'll probably wait for the update. For safety reasons, I don't really comfortable disabling the intel process in task manager or install an unknown driver that I'm not too familiar with.
  • Strangely enough, I also had encounter the black screen issue yesterday before rebooting my Acer. At first it wouldn't shut down all the way, as the blue light was still appearing. The black screen only showed up once but I was able to boot it up again after holding the power switch. Afterwards, it going through some kind…
  • Another update, actually, that solution only solved it temporarily and may have not help others with the same issue. The windows update helped for a day, but the issue came after another recent update. I'm not sure what's going on Microsoft's end. Btenpenny, I may try your suggestion later on.
  • I found my solution by Acer-Justin from this thread. http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/Aspire-E5-771G-audio-staggers-after-windows-update/m-p/349662/highlight/true#M58159 Acer-Justin wrote:I would recommend performing a system restore to before the update. Once you roll it back check the updates it's…
  • Assuming that this is likely a Windows Update issue, follow Acer-Justin's steps from this thread. I no longer had any problems with the touchpad once I did this. http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/Aspire-E5-771G-audio-staggers-after-windows-update/m-p/349662/highlight/true#M58159 Acer-Justin wrote:I would…
  • I had the same problem yesterday, but I believe I may have resolved it by following the steps Acer-Justin posted from this thread. You can send Kudos to him since his advice helped me out with my issue.…
  • I think I can confirm that Acer-Justin's solution worked. First do a system restore like he suggested, check for recent Windows update and reinstall them. After looking at my update history, I noticed there were some updates that have failed to install, but after installing the updates over again and rebooting the laptop,…
  • Zerdafennec, see this thread. It seems like you, me and others are experiencing the same issue. http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/Audio-would-stutter-or-lag-every-time-I-move-the-mouse-I-m-using/m-p/349550#U349550 You could try the system restore tool like Acer-Justin mentioned and also turn off automatic…
  • Yeah, I've literally tried almost everything from clearing my browser's history, cookies, cache, reinstalling my browser, restarting my laptop, scanning for viruses and even doing a system restore on different dates, but none of that helped. I can't reinstall my driver either because it's nowhere to be found in the Acer…
  • Well this is a bit coincidental or a really common issue. I have the same problem as you are with my Acer and it's only 2 months old. Everytime I move my mouse pointer while playing flash videos, the videos would lag a bit or have a stutter sound. Do you have a precision touchpad? If you do, then it might be a windows…
  • Another update, earlier I tried a system restore. It seemed to work for awhile, but the issue came back again. Also, one of the support members told me that I should reinstall the synaptics or Elan touchpad drivers in the Acer Recovery Management, but they're not listed there. The only driver I have according the device…
  • Just another note, after researching this problem a bit, people with similar problems said that their CPU goes to 100% in task manager when moving the touchpad and mines seems to do the same thing.
  • I guess so, I also notice when it was plugged in, the battery meter in the taskbar didn't show a charging status. So I'm guessing that confirms the laptop or battery wasn't affected by the charger in any way?
  • I have found the warranty status. Thank you Saranji.
