I plugged wrong AC adapter, did I damage anything?

Member Posts: 23 New User
On my Acer Aspire E 15 laptop, the ac adapter charger that came with the laptop has a 19V output, but I accidentally had a 20V adapter plugged in it for like 5 minutes and I did not realize it. My laptop still works, but is it possible that I could've damaged the laptop or shorten it's life span?

I doubt if the 1 volt difference hurt anything.

I guess so, I also notice when it was plugged in, the battery meter in the taskbar didn't show a charging status. So I'm guessing that confirms the laptop or battery wasn't affected by the charger in any way?

    Sounds good to me.
