  • UPDATE: Just as a follow up to this, I have managed to fix the issue..... My touchpad is working as it should be. Multiple finger gestures, including scroll, are now working brilliantly. Having these working now make the laptop much easier to use. I could not get them working using the drivers available on the ACER website…
  • This issue is driving me crazy..... It looks like everything is installed and running but the touchpad still does not work.....
  • This is a screenshot of the Device Manager.....
  • I have tried this also but the issue remains with the drivers and their correct install order etc. I have the touchpad working in BASIC mode as a mouse but it doesnt work in Advanced mode
  • IF I was to buy the restore USB, would it set up Windows 10 with all the working drivers? I am VERY reluctant to buy this as I know it does work, I just can’t get it to work. The drivers obviously have to be installed in the correct order but nobody seems to know what order they need to be done in....
  • I am unable to restore the unit as there was a HDD failure some time ago out of warranty. The restore partition has been lost. The problem has appeared as I have recently re-installed windows 10 and the ACER drivers supplied from the website appear not to work...
  • I have already tried these steps a number of times. I did try again though just in case I did something wrong... the issue remains.
  • I have installed this driver that you posted.... it installs the same as any other synaptics driver from Acer.... however when i go into the device manager and attempt to choose the driver, there is NO option to select a synaptics device... there are NO synaptics drivers to choose from....
  • I dont understand why there is not a driver i can install that gets the touchpad to work as its meant to.... there should not need to be a set order of installing things to get them to work.....
  • nothing for the touchpad but there are a few others that i might try as well.......
  • I have installed both of the drivers that you listed however when i go into the Device manager to select the required driver the Synaptic option is not showing... there are no items with any issues either... I feel like there is an issue with the drivers being installed into Windows 10 for some reason... They just seem to…
  • This is all I have on the Touchpad settings screen..... The download for the Synapticas firmware doesnt work as it says there is no driver installed for Synaptics devices......
  • Ive tried all the steps in this thread and NOTHING works..... The Touchpad is working as far as moving the mouse is concerned but the gestures do not work (scrolling etc...). The BIOS has been tried in BASIC and in ADVANCED mode. Advanced mode does not even work.... if its in this mode I have errors in the device manager.…
