  • @wzzt Would you mind posting your specs and where/when you purchased the monitor?
  • Interesting perspective! Out of curiosity, where did you purchase your monitor? What graphics card do you have? Any information that could help acer would be appreciated. Also, this is what I used to mount my monitor.
  • To all the new posters in the thread: Acer is working on finding a solution to the issue. Much like the G-Sync edition which had similar issues, Acer will first have to collect information, compile it, and send it out to the people that can make a replacement/repair process happen. What matters is that acer is aware of the…
  • Do you have the freesync version or the predator G-Sync version? I don't think acer has a solution for the freesync issues yet.
  • Added another video of the issue. I was getting abnormal amounts of graphical artifacting while writing my amazon review of the monitor so I decided to make a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_uk6NE8PEA&feature=youtu.be Still looking for a comment from Acer Support!
  •  Can we get a statement from acer regarding the XR341CK Freesync version?
  • I have reset it countless times to no avail.
  • Yes, the issue is very bad. As we speak, my monitor is flickering badly. It could even be getting worse. I am requesting an update from acer as to what will done about this issue.
  • The flickering at the top of the monitor doesn't happen if freesync is off. The popping, artifacting and disconnecting happens no matter what.
  • Yes. I have the exact same problem as you. I have RMA'd the monitor twice and got faulty monitors back both times. I also bought a good DisplayPort cable and it didn't fix/help the problem at all. I have also been getting flickering, tearing, popping noises, and loss of connectivity. Acer hasn't aknowledged this problem,…
  • No response from any thread has been made by acer in regards to the freesync monitor. We have been completely and indefinitely eclipsed by the Gsync version.
  • Just going to leave this here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEO2rT3Vh1Y& Popping, flickering, disconnecting, and no response from acer. The 'G-Sync' version is getting all the attention. I'll make sure never to patronize acer's products in the future. I'd unmark this thread as 'Solved'
  • Unfortunately since these topics were moved they will likely die. Quite a shame that nothing will be done about this issue. Edit: Just as I imagined, we are silenced and the thread doomed to fade away. Shame on you acer.
  • From my experiences calling in, they treat the Gsync and Freesync versions quite similarly. Not sure if its because of a lack of information or what, but I offered my assistance nonetheless. We all paid a similar price and are all having very similar issues with our very similar monitors. I see no reason why we should…
  • Alright, I have a discovery to share myself. It's nothing major, and it also pertains to the Freesync Version. If you download the AMD windmill demo, you can switch between Freesync and Normal mode. When you enable Freesync, the top portion of the screen changes color and flickers. Not sure if this helps any, but Freesync…
  • All we can hope for is a user deployable hotfix from acer. Wether or not that will happen at all is doubtful. [subject line edited to reflect moved topic]
  • Getting all the issues @Fragmachine is describing. ESCPECIALLY the flickering. I have tried every combination of settings imaginable to no avail. I hope this can be remedied by a firmware update ASAP as I am losing my patience.
  • Just sent mine back today. The replacement and the original have the same problem. (Please note I have the Freesync version. I am sharing my experience on the batch quality of these monitors) [subject line edited to reflect moved topic]
  • As of 10 minutes ago the problem just went away. I went to the menu, changed the brightness from 80 to 65 or so and voila- FreeSync mode enabled. VERY strange. I would suggest trying to change some basic settings and see if it works.
  • That's the nature of the beast my friend. I'm not sending this one back. My only hope is for Acer to push some software where you can update the firmware.
