The new port solved the problem. Easy fix. Note: If you take off the bottom panel of the Chromebook note the slightly different length screws. When I put mine back together the mouse pad would nor click for enter. I put the longer screws under the pad not realizing there were different lengths. Thanks for the help.

Thank you. The charger tests good. I also tried it on another Acer Chromebook with the same output charger. I tried the good charger on the Chromebook with the battery out and still did not get a charge indicator light or a boot up. I was thinking if the battery was bad it should work with the battery out but this could be…

I am having a charging port issue with a cb3-431-c5fm. The port moves as the charger is plugged in. The charging indicator light does not come on but the battery and the charger get warm. Computer will not bootup. No sign of power. Sorry, I didn't know how to start a new topic.
