You are correct ... this does not resolve the issue ... but at least by stopping any updates to Google Maps and just rolling it back to the original pre-installed version, I can open it. Having said that ... I don't beleive this tablet will get an update to the latest Android version.

Man ! ... Thanks for the hint ... I am dealing with the same issue and yes once I clear the cache I can open it but ... it only still lasts a few seconds. I called ACER and they basically told me it's not their problem ... even though it is part of their build (or what I call a gold disk) Anyway, what I did was to do an…
