I have concluded that the battery is operating properly. I examined the Windows system logs, and observed that the unit was going to sleep instead of shutting down. I then forced a shutdown using the command prompt "shutdown /s /f", and verified that the battery did not drain over several hours. I also tried the hibernate…

With the unit operating from the AC charger, the Wear level is 9% and the charge level is 100%. Also, is it possible that the problem is that "Power Off" is not really off, as opposed to a defective battery? Thank you.
