  • You'd think that more companies would build high performance, Ultrabook-thin, laptops with a 15.6" screen...but the selection is rather limited. Samsung builds a couple of high-performance models that would probably satisfy your needs: the ATIV book NP940X5J-K02US (256 GB SSD) and the NP940X5J-K01US (128GB SSD) are two of…
  • Not necessarily. I run mine on battery power all the time, particularly when traveling. Your S7 392 is equipped with the Haswell processor that uses battery power very efficiently - definitely more than my S7 391 with the Ivy Bridge processor. I get about 4-4.5 hours on a full charge. I'll bet yours gets 7+ hours?
  • Sounds pretty normal compared to my own S7 391, except for the buzzing keyboard when illuminated. I haven't noticed that. The only time I ran the battery below 10%, yes, it took approximately three hours to completely recharge. I've had mine for about a month and generally keep it plugged-in during use.
  • Congrats on getting an S7! I love mine. FWIW, I have experienced no issues whatsoever with either wifi or bluetooth connectivity since upgrading to 8.1...and I'm posting right now from a less-than-stellar hotel wifi-connection. It's OK but streaming HD video would probably be a test of patience.
  • By 'refresh' do you mean you did a complete system restore? If so, that may be the reason...or did you have this connectivity problem prior to your refresh? That'll determine which steps to take next. If It didn't start until recently, I would probably go back and find a restore point prior to the date of your sytem…
  • I have encountered this issue with dual-band Wifi routers when they are not bridged correctly with a cable modem. Comcast had to completely disable the wifi in their cable modem in order for me to use my Linksys 1900 without losing the connection every five minutes. Who is yor Internet provider? And are you using one of…
  • Thank you, Elizabeth! It's great to be here. Again, I am simply amazed by the S7 Aspire. It is the fastest, most portable computer I have ever used, bar none. This is also one time that I can honestly say that the positive reviews didn't exaggerate - Acer got it right with the S7.
