  • after extensive research, I am unable to find an UNZIPPED version of this driver. It may be a release requirement by the driver maker that it be in a ZIP file. If you are having issues with WinZIP, you can always try a different utility to unzip files, such as WinRAR. very good and lite weight program.
  • easiest way to resolve this issue is to do a power drain. To do that, turn off the unit, remove the battery and charger. when all is removed, push and hold the power button for approx. 40 minutes. When that time has elapsed, reseat the battery or reconnect charger and turn on the unit. issue should be resolved.
  • if you did a request for repair online, it would have given you a Case ID number (typically ends with "U") take that number to note and call tech support. when they ask you for SN or SNID, provide them with the Case ID number instead. they will then be able to look into the case and see exactly what is happening with it
  • contact Acer Tech support and explain the conundrum, they may be able to send you the corect adapter for free.
  • Reseating the HDD is one of many Troubleshooting steps used by technician to determine cause of issue. However, I did notice that the HDD is not easily accessible, so I would suggest not to do it. You may be better off calling tech support so they can determine cause of the issue and worse case send the unit for repair.…
  • The only other issue at that point would be bad sectors or clusters in the HDD. At that point your only real option would be an HDD swap and a reinstall of the OS with Recovery CDs. If you don't have the recovery DVDs yourself, you should be a to buy them online or through the Acer Technical Support line.
  • here is the exact RAM matches for your system. The Acer Aspire M3100 Desptop can hold up to 4Gb of DDR2 533/667/800 MHz SDRAM. Hope this helps.
  • Rather than mess around with doing a System restore, which obvious worsened the issue, why don't you just save all your important data to an external storage source (USB Drive, Ext-HDD, etc.) and do a complete System recovery. System Recovery will set your system back to the first day you bought it as a clean install of…
  • To attempt to find a resolution for your issue. I have provided a link to purchase the battyer for your Smartphone from ebay. I do understand it is not in Calcutta, however, with this purchase you could at least use your phone for more than just a paper weight.…
  •  Unfortunately the black blotch on the screen indicates that the actual screen is broken. The black blotch is actually the LCD liquid leaking from within the screen. That said, the only way to use the system properly is to connect it to an external video source. To resolve the issue, however, the screen would need to be…
  •  I hate to reply to a question with questions, however in this situation I have to. - Can you see anything at all on the screen when unit is powering up (Acer logo, etc.)? - Have you tried connecting the unit through an external video source (VGA or HDMI)? If so, does it work on the external display device? - On the said…
  • If it says "Operating System Not Found" with Windows 8, it can either be HDD failure or OS failure. Typical HDD failure indication, is a message saying "No Bootable devices Found -- Insert Boot Disc and Press Any Key". Try removing HDD from bottom of unit and reseating it. When you are done that, remove battery and make…
  • I would be willing to help you figure out what is happening with your tablet, however it is very hard to determine if the current issue is with the booting of your system, the charger connection for your tablet or the power button not working.. If you could elaborate more thoroughly, it would be greatly helpfull and…
  •  Your best solution for a faulty headphone jack plug would be to contact Acer Technical support so they can send the unit for a warranty repair. The fact that you had to hold the headphone jack at an angle, indicates that there was a unit defect to begin with. The original issue would have been the side spring tab in the…
  • On the A1-810, like most Android devices, when you are in the email address bar you will easily find the at (@) symbol. However, when in normal type screen you will not. To find the at (@) symbol, you will likely have to have to press the Number Option choice on the bottom left of the on-screen keyboard (?123), then the at…
