Having performed the steps that you had kindly provided (which hopefully fixed the issue, especially the advances BIOS setting), I then hit the battery reset button underneath the laptop. The port is now working. Thank you so much!

Thanks. I have a Thinkpad thunderbolt dock that I use to switch between a work Dell win 10 and a personal Acer win 11. The dock still works with the Dell but no longer with the Acer. I ran through the above steps, however there is still no response at the Acer thunderbolt port I did not have an earlier restore point…
