  • Having purchased a replacement charger (not ACER OEM) this seems to have fixed the problem, fingers crossed it will not return in the coming days. Whilst there were no obvious problems with the original charger there was most likely an internal issue with it.
  • I have tried to wiggle the plus - main 3 pin, at the connection with the power block and at the laptop end. ALl to no avail. Have tried 4 different power sockets as well. Seems to work occasionally - hence me maintaining power thus far - but seems random when it works and when it does not. Going to be a pai9n to diagnose…
  • Sory to say but having used the laptop for a while and then plugged in to charge the charger was not detected once more. Bizarley, changing to yet another power outlet / socket the PC is once more charging. I am now wondering if this is a charger fault or even a power supplu unit within the laptop at fault.   • Thanks for the suggestions. Battery reset did not seem to change anything re the problem but BIOS update to latest V15 edition seemed to have done the trick. Suggestion mush appreciated. Regards
