  • Update: The touchpad works now. I went ahead and uninstalled the I2C HID device in Device Manager, rebooted, then initiated a Windows Update, which appeared to install a lot of items. That appears to have done the trick. Thanks again for the help.
  • Thanks for the ideas. My apologies, the correct model is Aspire AV15-51. I've checked through the BIOS multiple times, and do not find an entry for Touchpad anywhere. In Windows' Device Manager, there is an I2C HID Device entry under Human Interface Devices. I was concerned about uninstalling its driver in case I might…
