Installed the Ethernet adapter, installed drivers from cd. (The drivers were Realtek.) Computer back on interenet via ethernet. Problem solved 😎

Thank you billsey, I have done that and nothing ethernet shows. Acer support suggest I pay £60 to send the machine for inspection and then a quote for repair. I have purchased an external ethernet adapter, so will try that and post the result here.

Thanks again, Reset the pc and still nothing. I have two televisions plugged into ethernet, one directly from the router and the other from a Netgear switch which is connected to the router as well.

Thanks Puraw, I'm beginning to wonder if it could be a router problem, a reset may be in order. Checked all your suggestions, to no avail. It will have to wait until tomorrow morning. Cheers L

With Atheros, I double clicked on the setup file. Snip attached

Tried Atheros extracted files double clicked file it came up seemed to load, but it is not in device manager, same for Realtek download.

Thanks Puraw, There are no WAN or Lan drivers showing in device manager. I put in my snid, downloaded Realtek Lan driver, extracted all files double clicked on the Set file the screen gave a blip and nothing happened no lan in device manager after a computer restart. I think I'll try the Intel Atheros and see what happensl

Thanks again Billsey, I may try an external usb soundcard, although a search around on youtube will often turn up some of the tracks I have on old tapes.

Thanks Billsey I've been in touch with Acer support and they do not recommend using the headphone jack for inputting an external audio source. I am attempting to find a way of connecting an external portable cassette player, which has a 3.5mm output jack. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you for that. I believe that the Audio Port is for audio out, headphones or speaker. On my c24 the port is marked with Earphones. There is also a popup window which gives a choice of Earphones or Speakers.

An old post but: I connected external speakers to the C24 no problem. In Realtek Audio Console Connector settings,, enable auto popup when device is plugged in. See the attachments below.

I realise that I am somewhat late on this, but I found with the KBRFCR the following steps work. Open Control Panel Go to Hardware and Sound, then, Devices and Printers Right click on Acer 2.4g device Click Keyboard settings Then adjust Speed Repeat delay and Repeat rate settings. Click APPLY then OK

I did the following, got help from Microsoft Chat. Using Command prompt in "Run as administrator" DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth THEN Sfc /scannow There were corrupted files, takes a few minutes to complete.

The Internal speakers can be adjusted via the REALTEK AUDIO CONSOLE APP. In the start menu.

Mine is a AIO C24 865 with 128gb ssd. I found that it was filling up at an alarming rate down from 80gb free space to 29gb in one afternoon.
