  • I phoned the number for "Predator Premium Service". The gentleman who I spoke with was unfamiliar with the term backlight bleeding. I got a generic response, "ship it to us and we can see about possibly repairing it". They were not able to confirm that it would even be repaired with new parts. I am extremely dissapointed…
  • Guess I have to answer my own question. Yes the firmware seems to fix the fan cycling issues that were reported initially by users and reviewers, even though that wasn't officially mentioned in the firmware notes.

  • More specifically: the fan cycling while monitor is idle.
