  • make sure it is not limited in the killer control center
  • I use hwinfo to monitor temps, it doesn't hog cpu like sense garbage and has more comprehensive stats.
  • if the game is not demanding on cpu you can disable the turbo boost in windows power options and temps won't go above 70 degrees. I've done some benchmarks with/without turbo boost and there is hardly any difference in avg fps on 1080p max settings. Rise of the tomb raider: no turbo boost Average framerate : 96.1 FPS turbo…
  • these are the temps right now during "idle" (browsing/youtube/desktop stuff) I'm only concerned that temp rises when the Gpu+Cpu are under load, might be due to bad airflow, ssd being placed somewhat close to the cpu, bad ssd, I don't know.
  • samsung magician doesn't offer any tangible control over this device, only shows the drive info and I can do a benchmark. FMW is 102Q. I've googled about this drive and couldn't find any relevant info.
  • Of course I can send it back but I'd rather not if this is the expected behaviour of an NvMe in a laptop this thin so this is why I'm posing this question here? Windows 10 Home Version 2004SAMSUNG MZVLB1T0HBLR-00007
  • The unit came with the nvme installed. I have no plan in tear it apart to switch the ssd with something inferior. The device was bought 1 week ago so I won't repaste the cpu or something like that. I would rather send it back if it has an issue with the sdd. So yeah I was interested in fellow users of this model PT515-51…
  • In crystal disk info it's show only the first value which is always lower than the 2nd one. The 2nd temp from what I've read on the internet might be the "drive air flow temp".
  • It says in the main post:"I've compiled a bundle of ThrottleStop configurations for various CPU types. Each of these downloads are specific to the CPU listed and come pre-setup to optimum undervolt, Speed Shift EPP, power limits and other various tweaks." What is the value of the undervolt applied to those pre-setup, more…
  • Yea I've read that countless time during this thread, my temps are right now 40 idle, 88 avg max fan. I was just wondering if this would make an impact on my system since it is already -0.100 by default. I've looked into the ini file and couldn't find anything to indicate the value of undervolt so if anyone knows this…
  • I was asking about the profiles made in the initial post. From what I've read in this thread those are stable tweaks that will work on those models and you just need to activate it. I just want to know what is the undervolt applied and if that will help better than the default applied from manufacturer.
  • What's the undervolt for 9750h? I know the default from manufacturer on PT515-51 is -0.100. Will the ts profile help further?
  • I think the predator sense app is a little garbage. It consumes 10% cpu while opened. If you are doing desktop stuff try to disable the boost of the cpu to not have randomly spikes to full speed. You can do that in power options in windows, set cpu max to 99%.
  • Thanks for your answer. So right now I just left it idle not doing anything and temp is below 40degrees and all the fans are off on Auto but my question was if the GPU is idle does it still require cooling since I can go in the custom profile and turn them off completely when I'm not gaming or anything. And the that noise…
