  • Actually if you customize this Eluktronics https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FP9ZT77/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_-AR0CbKHRBTDA You can put together a model with 9750H RTX 2070 Max Q 128 SSD 8GB RAM For around $1,650 BUT it is an Eluktronics and only 8GB of RAM so idk how much of a real deal that is. Interesting though.
  • Yeah I meant an i7 8750H system with an RTX 2070 are around the $1,500 range. I haven't checked out many 9th gen/ RTX 2070 setups as they are definetly out of my budget.
  • Yeah I don't get the Nitro pricing either. Also, I have a big problem with the RTX 2060 model being $1,599 when you can get the 1660Ti model for $1,199 and the only difference is Ray Tracing and maybe 5-10fps in most games. That $400 plus tax difference is rediculous to me. The other specs are exactly the same. For $1,599…
  • Very excited about that too actually. That 256 SSD is tough and a pain to get to for an upgrade. And nobody's mentioned it but..... "1 - Thunderbolt 3 (Full USB 3.1 Type C) Port, 3 - USB 3.1 Gen 1 Ports (One with Power-off Charging)" Noice!
  • This is very true lol. It say's June 12th- July 24th ship date and hasn't changed so figure it could be at least another month before they actually get to the general public.
  • So the new 300 is now up on Amazon with the components that we thought would be included. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QXLFLXT/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_JRGYCbMHP7VTR Only thing that's weird is that it says "usually ships within 1-3 months" under delivery time. Obviously this is a pre-order item but not sure why they don't just…
  • That would be amazing haha!
  • Yeah I meant to put the 9750H but couldn't edit my post for some reason. I would be very content with the 9750H.
  • Thanks for the response. I decided to go return it and get the new version (maybe). From what I've read the $1,199 priced model will have the new GTX 1660 and the new i7 9850H. Although there are conflicting reports right now. Some say it will actually come with a i5 8300H instead but that doesn't make much sense to me…
  • Have you tried undervolting your CPU with Throttlestop or setting the fan output higher through Preadtor Sense? What are your temps under load?
  • I think you may have misunderstood the issue I was having and my situation. I just figured out my games were choosing the Intel GPU over my GeForce GPU even though I specified not to and fixed it. I wasn't exaggerating when I said my games were running 1-20FPS and fluctuating rapidly. My games are now running 30+FPS on…
  • UPDATE- Ok so I figured out the issue guys. A few days ago I set the Nvidia control panel to make sure that my GeForce card was chosen over the integrated GPU when running programs under the Global Settings menu. But for some reason my applications always use the Intel GPU when I'm not plugged in, even though I set the…
  • That's really unfortunate as it runs well at 60-144FPS plugged in (temp aside) I hate giving up on technology but if I can't play any games on battery then I definitely made the wrong decision. Now you said "most laptops", do you know of any brands off hand that could give me decent performance on battery? And maybe what…
  • Thank you for the response. I do understand that as I stated in my post. However, I'm not looking for maximum performance while plugged in. I'm looking for basic low-medium performance. Or any performance at all for that matter. I'm getting intergrated graphics level performance at best.
