  • Hey guys, Can't find official measurements but it looks like the rear case fan is 100mm - so that rules out upgrade for liquid cooling for CPU. CPU temp hits 85c frequently while gaming, averages 70c or higher when idle or light usage. Anyone know where official measurements are for the Acer Predator Orion 3000 rear case…
  • Hey guys, If I upgrade the CPU cooling to liquid - can the H80iV2 120MM fan/radiator kit fit in the rear to replace the rear fan?
  • It isn't that I don't trust you, just can't afford anything if it doesn't work and voids warranty. Gaming now at GPU fan speed full with 85C... is this dangerous? Acer says its fine. I found a program Argus Monitor which let me run my CPU fan at full RPM and it kept it under 80c when gaming. Will inquire with Acer about…
  • I am nervous about thermal paste. Is there somewhere I can get confirmation it won't void warranty? As for case fans, is Corsair products good? They have a few options and they're fairly priced.
  • I'll see if I can grab a fan and put it on top and point down. On a side note, would a sufficient test be just pulling it forward? Does CPU fan run from the rear or the left side? Also CPU fan speed sits at 1,000RPM max when GPU is 4000RPM. Is CPU fan normally this slow? It seems strange...
  • We have the Predator Orion 3000 - GTX 1070 version and RTX 2070 version (we have 2 of them). Decent budget pre-built, can stream, can handle most games including COD at high settings (I play on Ultra fine). 10/10 recommend Predator.
  • Thank you for this. Re-paste would void warranty, right? Would adding case fans void warranty as well? I'm trying to find a solution that doesn't void warranty. GPU temp is max 60c when gaming, which is perfect - just need to find a way to keep CPU down. My desktop is also in a corner, when facing it - left side and back…
  • So it says it is the up to date BIOS version, checked in Care Center and then checked again on the Acer page where I can grab the downloads if needed. Here's another theory.. Is the CPU fan on the rear or the left side (if facing front of desktop) ? If so, I have a wall against it (2in clearance, maybe) on the left side…
  • Temps have always been this high - but I didn't know it was a concern until someone I play with told me. How do I check BIOS version?
  • Also hitting 68-72c idle / browsing web (only windows open are FireFox and Predator Sense). I do have a ton of background processes etc running too, which seems strange / high.
  • Sure. Its P03-600. It is the version with the RTX 2070, i7 9700K for reference.
  • They were originally. Acer support wasn't much help but Twitter support from Acer had me update Predator Sense, now its hitting 80-85c max gaming.
  • OK, so I updated Predator Sense. CPU runs around 80c when gaming - is this acceptable? If so, I'll wait and add water cooling when warranty expires and I upgrade GPU + RAM and PSU. Let me know your thoughts with this.
  • I can use any budget. Will ading watercooling void my warranty though? On a side note, is Corsair good? I have other Corsair products and have been happy with them. the iCue software seems easy to use, as well.
  • So tonight just browsing this site (Firefox) CPU temp hit 70-80c while browsing, is this normal as well? I heard the i7's run hot to begin with, just want to make sure everything is good.
  • P03-600 - CPU temp also hits 70-80c while idling or light internet browsing.
  • How do I find this? It is the one with Intel i7 9700K, RTX 2070.
  • How do I find the model? All I can find is that its P03-600 I think, but its the same model number as our other Predator that has GTX 1070 and i7 8700K
