Hey guys,

I have the Acer Predator 3000 - the RTX 2070 model, has i7 9700K. I want to upgrade the RAM. What speed is compatible? 2400 and up, or? Is higher speed better?

Also will upgrading RAM void computer warranty? Has 16GB default, I want to remove the 2x8GB and put in 4x8GB if a new RAM.

Which model 3000 do you have? It should be something like PO5-6xx-xxxx. I think all the ninth gen systems use either 2400 or 2666 DDR4, but that might not be correct on all models.

How do I find the model? All I can find is that its P03-600 I think, but its the same model number as our other Predator that has GTX 1070 and i7 8700K

You'll find the model of your laptop with Acer Care Center for example.

Get a software called GPUz and see the Memory and SPD Slot#1 and #3 for your OEM RAM specs and post it here or go to a Crutial site at: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/predator-orion-3000 and see their suggested "Predator Orion 3000 Compatible Upgrades" which are for Memory - Maximum Memory: 64GB *Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory. Slots: 4 Standard Memory: 8GB removable - Storage SATA Version: SATA 3 - 6Gb/s - Chipset: Intel Z370 – for a RAM 64GB kit use the “Ballistix Sport LT Gray 64GB Kit (4 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 UDIMM - DDR4 PC4-19200 • 16-16-16 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-2400 • 1.2V “ very simple and what Crutial suggests is very accurate!!!
