Maybe it is possible that the 1GB SD Care is a regular SD card, and the 16GB card is an SDHC card, not an SD card, and maybe your reader doesn't support SDHC cards.

(Major apologies for not repling for so long) Silly me, I have just realized the 2GB stick was DDR3 and not DDR3L! I'll report back once I buy sone 2x4GB DDR3L RAM.

Trust me I was too when I first opened mine up. It might make some scary snapping when you pry but that is just the snaps coming off.

Basically you pry the back off. You do this by inserting a small flathead into the top corners, and work your way through. At least that's how I got mine open. I didn't deal with the "put pin in DVD drive hole" mumbo jumbo as all you had to do was eject it before I shut it off. Manual eject maybe?

It does boot with the 2GB Kingston stick, slowly, and also CPU-Z and the Windows 10 System applicatioon shows that the system takes DDR3 RAM. (Shows "4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM). I will try to buy a DDR3L stick and see if that helps anything.

Ok, so it has the lastest BIOS and I cleared the CMOS battery. Still resstarting upon WIndows boot, BIOS worls just fine. Same issues as before. Untill a soulution is found, I think this PC is deemed unupgradable.

Spybot as in Spybot-Search & Destroy? I recommend removing that, because I believe it might be a virus. I recommend Malwarebytes AntiMalware.

Both RAM sticks came out of a Gateway Laptop that had no hard drive. Like I said, I will try the BIOS update to see if this helps, and it's weird that it sees the Kingston stick and can boot to BIOS, but Windows just restarts constantly.

Huh, weird. If it's possible, just set it to Single Display.

It would be MUCH easier to buy a whole new computer, as the size of the metal bracket on the GTX 740 is much too large for this low-end PC.

Are you sure the SD-Card is not broken or bad? Do you have the drivers installed for the SD-Card drive.

It has a PCI-e x16 slot, so any PCI-E x16 card should work. (If you do simple internet browsing and some gaming, I would recommend a NVidia Geforce 9500 GT. If you game alot, the GTX 750 TI is the way to go).

This sounds pretty bad-I think you might need a whole new motherboard for this issue.

What are your system cleaners? I know of some fake cleaners that are Ransomware or Rouges. This may be the problem.

Are you sure your USB Flash drive is UEFI Bootable? You should try putting it in a device that you know has USB boot support. If it does boot from your USB drive, then you should try updating the BIOS on your AcerPower S260.

You should try Re-installing the drive for the DVD Drive (look on Acer's website or search [PC model number] dvd drive driver), or try disconnecting it and re-connecting it.

Have you tried putting the keyboard in another computer? If these keys work in another computer, then it may be an issue with your driver or USB slot. If the keys still don't work in another computer, then the keyboard may be broken and you might need to get a new one.

It has the default BIOS installed, I will try updating the BIOS to see if this helps. I've also heard clearing the CMOS battery helps, and I might try that.

I tried 2 types of RAM. The original stick is a Kingston 4GB 1600MHz. First type: Samsung 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz. Didn't Even post with the original and this stick in it, and didn't P.O.S.T with just this stick in it. Most likely a bad stick. 2nd RAM stick: Kingston 2GB 1600MHZ.
