Why do I get the message "Internal security key requires reset" on my Acer Chromebook?
Google has identified a U2F ECDSA vulnerability that may prompt users to reset their internal security keys. This vulnerability has been corrected in Chrome OS version 75. Chrome OS users are advised to update their operating system to the latest version.
- Click the status area, where your account picture appears.
- Click Settings then click About Chrome OS. Your Chrome OS version will be displayed.
- In the “About” window that appears, click Check for and apply updates.
