Acer Swift 3x vs Acer Swift 3 Infinity 3 (Intel Iris Xe Max vs Intel Iris Xe)

Hey, everyone!

I'm planning to get a new laptop sometime around next week, but I am confused between these two. I use the laptop to do coding and graphic design work. I use Illustrator, CorelDraw, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro for my Graphic Design. I code C++ and phyton. I really need to make a decision in a few days..

I am in a dilemma whether I should get the Acer Swift 3x (i5-11th Gen, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Max Graphics) or Acer Swift 3 Infinity 3 (i7-11th Gen, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Graphics). I have a mix feelings for Acer Swift 3x as people say that the iris xe mas driver has some problem,, so should I just go for the infinity 3 instead?

are there any differences between Intel Iris Xe vs Intel Iris Xe MAX?

    unless you have a specific need for the dedicated graphics, I would get the swift 3

    the only reason I got the swift 3x instead of the 3 was because at the time, I couldn't find a swift 3 configured with 16gb ram

    The difference is mainly in how they are implemented on the MB. The MAX version is discrete, i.e. on a separate chip, the normal one is integrated into the CPU. The integrated one will actually be a bit faster than the discrete, just because the bus lengths are going to be shorter. Either one will work fine for your use, and any driver glitches will get ironed out as Intel tweaks things. They never catch all the bugs when testing internally, some just don't show up until running in the real world with thousands of users...
