Hi I want to replace bottom case of my helios 500 so I ordered one from acer and I watched vidoes of disassembly. On vidoes before they remove main bottom panel they disconnect few tiny cables attatched to bottom panel and there is no such a thing on panel I ordered. Can you transfer those tiny wires to new panel?

Hello, can I have your model number? I have watched few videos about disassembly of Helios 500 and I see that the wire you mentioned might be for the speakers.

@Schnaz those are speaker wires, you need to transfer your speakers from the old bottom case to the new one

Those wires and plugs are not part of the bottom case, no bottom case has any components that need wires and/or plugs that connect to your laptops motherboard,  those wires are as described above, cables and plugs that come from your speakers to your motherboard. A bottom case components transfer, which I've done lots of times due to and mainly because of the bottom cases hinge(s) mounting point problems, which is common in some new laptops but very common in older laptops, as these mounting points break and are very flimsy and the plastic deteriorates with age, which affects the opening and closing of the top screen. A bottom case change and transfer of components is a very easy process, all you have to do is, take photos of every step of disassembly or and better still, take a video of how you disassemble the laptop then assemble everything in reverse, simple.

Very correct. The connection line and the shell are independent. It can be removed from the old shell and replaced with a new one.
