Hi all,

Back in 2017 my older laptop (a model with GTX 980m) got 2 times a repair and for the third time i got a newer model (G9-793). Since i own this laptop i am wondering why my dolby is not really active. With my previous model i could select how many speakers i wanted to use. With this model i can't, anyone know why ? Because i don't even hear the sub proper like my older model.

Older model was a G9-791-74EQ where the speakers are working fine
Current model is a G9-793-71SJ, cant config the speaker or test the subwoofer.

If it has the same sound architecture as my variant G9-791-78CE I suggest using the Realtek proprietary drivers. It works perfectily on my WIn10 20H2 setup. Depending on your driver config it may or may not work correctly.

    That's best found here: https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/pc-audio-codecs-high-definition-audio-codecs-software
The WIndows 10 64-bit driver is the one I use; the description says 'Driver Only,' but I can confirm that installs the Dolby software as well.

Be sure to uninstall any old driver that is currently in use before installing.
