As the title say, the freezing problem, i am pretty sure others asked for it, bec i have the other questions about it too. But i dont seem to find any actual answer, so i created this to ask again, did anyone find why and how to fix the freezing problem that show up randomly. To make sure that everyone understand what i am talking about: The freezing comes up once every couple of hours, as i saw specifically while gaming, it just freeze with everything, even the sound freeze for a sec. And everything goes back to normal as NOTHING happen. And no the cpu and gpu heat are not high, they dont even ready higher than 85 to actually begin with. So i hope anyone found an answer.

The work arounds that seem to work the best are first to not run Predator Sense, or at least leave it minimized and to not use some of the USB 3.0 ports.

Yeah i saw that and i tried them, the usb thing didnt fix it neither the predator sense. But appearently i might have found a fix, in nvidia reddit forum from 5 years ago. The problem seems to be the HD audio driver from nvidia or the lack of files in Nvidia driver, what i did is uninstall the nvidia audio driver and reupdate the entire driver, so it simply reinstalled the audio driver, but now i had some new feature that nvidia control didnt show before such as dynamic super resolution. Wasnt there before i do this uninstall and reinstall thingy. And its been 3 hours without freezes. If it pass a week without freezes, ill update here as an option that could fix it to other ppl as well. (Probably, not sure).

Nvm, it did freeze again, it took long this time, but i had predator sense open. Ill try without predator sense, but i doubt it will make any diff.

Keep predatorsense closed at all times, not minimised, closed. You can open it up to change fan speeds, lighting etc but just don't have it open.

I made a post addressing the issue, but it got removed for whatever reason. I don't get the freezing unless it's open, I did tests as I mentioned in my removed post and it's for sure what's causing the freezing at least on my system.

Ye i noticed that, but i dont keep it open actually, at least not all of the time, i used to be forced to keep it open bec its new pc, so i am testing its power and how much temp he rise while i am playing bec if cpu reached up to 85 i have to turn on gaming fan mode which switch to full speed, bec if cpu higher than 85C its bad for the health of the pc. That was the only reason i kept it open, but now i downloaded msi afterburner so its easier to see the temp of cpu and gpu now without keeping predator sense open. And til now, i got no freeze, but i cant be 100% sure, i have to wait couple more days while i am playing with predator sense closed, if it never freezes than ye, thats the only way to stop the freeze, keep the predator sense close at all times. Except if u wanna switch fan speed.

But i kinda felt that nvidia had lack of files in drivers as well, bec as i mentioned before i didnt have some of the feature in nvidia control panel til i reinstalled the nvidia driver even tho not been a day or two since the last time i updated Nvidia driver from Nvidia experience app.

Hi. I have two possible suggestions. Both have worked for me.

    1) ThrottleStop to reduce load and heat in the CPU. Worked nicely for me with limited effect on experienced performance.Look at the ThrottleStop guides. Simple basic set up with no apparent risk.

    2) Uppgrade CPU cooler. I run a

    Noctua NH-U9S

In my PO3-620. I710700 GTX 3070. No throttle. No weird USB performance.

My conclusion it that the out of the box cpu cooling is inadequate in the PO3-620 i7 10700, GTX 3070. The number of comments regarding cooling related problems in the po3-620 on this forum supports my conclusion. In case reports by @SeoulFinn@GotBanned and me the problems were fixed by a cpu fan uppgrade.

wow, love it but do you need to take out the motherboard to install the coller ? or its work with intel stock ?

Unfortunately changing the CPU cooler is a bit tricky in the PO3-620. It is clear that uppgrading the CPU cooler is not supported by Acer. The main challenge is in removing the CPU backplate. There are posts on this forum on how to take on this project. Fully doable if you are a bit patient and careful.

Nah it wont work for me, but i dont need solutions anymore, appearently after i reinstalled nvidia driver and kept the predator sense always closed, removed the freeze or if it happen again later after i write this at least it reduced the amount of freeze A LOT. The reason why cooling stuff wont work for me its bec my pc is prebuilt and new. It doesnt heat over 85 AT ALL, and when it does, i can just turn the fans at max speed for 5 min and the cpu + GPU will be under 70 in no time. So its not heating problem at all, i have it on auto mode, bec it never heat tbh. Its kinda bug problem not performance problem. The cpu and gpu are totally fine. But thx in advance, by far the best solution for now is just reinstall ur Nvidia driver to make sure there i no problem in the nvidia files as it was for me and keep predator sense closed, when u need it, open it do the stuff u want and re close it.

If you go to custom fan speed and set the front fan (intake) to 70% and set the rear fan (Outtake) to 60% you'll have good cooling without the loud gaming mode speed. Just open predatorsense before gaming, set to custom close it and then when you're done gaming change back to auto. Auto never ramps up enough in my opinion and it's only good for less intensive stuff.

I'd just advise to stop obsessing about temps, if you don't have experience any issues then the temp is fine.

My problem isnt how loud, i dont mind it being loud, what i mind, is the fact its health, if u kept fan speed at max all the time, it will reduce its life, thats why i keep making sure i open it only when it start to exceed 85C otherwise i keep it on auto, but sometimes games do go over 85 so i turn on the maximum speed fan. Loud or not, dont rly matter, what i care about the health of my pc. So before i kept predator sense open bec i always check the temp of my cpu and gpu and system, so if any of them started to over heat i turn on the fan, dont rly care anything diff than that. But now since i downloaded msi afterburner can clearly see the temp on the top left of my screen so if it started over heat i open predator sense max the fan and then close it.

So basically just make sure ur nvidia drivers are fine, and ur keyboard and mouse not on 3.0(idk if it matters, but some says it does, so just do it anyway just incase). And most importantly dont keep predator sense on the background no matter what u are doing, use it to switch certain options but then close it again. That way i fixed my freeze, so i guess thx to everyone and have a nice day.
