hi, I have a nitro 5 an515-54-728c with rtx 2060, after a research i found that it is the refreshed rtx 2060 variant, but recently using MSI afterburner to monitor core and memory clock, I saw that the core clock is normally around(and some times more!) 1560 MHz, which according to Nvidia spec sheet, this clock speed belongs to 115Watts rtx 2060, but according to MSI afterburner, GPU power consumption is 80watts(as it should be on this model)

also you need to know that i have recently used Predator sense on nitro sense and used the Extreme overclock option, but even after returning to official Nitro sense, the core speed is 1560MHz

all i'm asking is : can anyone with an515-54-728c use MSI afterburner while playing game to see if their clock speed is 1560 or 1200?

NOTE: anyone with an515-54-728c who hasn't used overclock like predator sense

Did you got it refurbished? I am asking because Acer uses service(unlocked) BIOS to setup/test some things e.g. TDP of the CPU and GPU and might have done same test and forgot to revert it back before flashing the locked BIOS. If that`s the case and it  doesn't overheat then you are lucky.

No, it was new when I bought it, i haven't manipulated BIOS , but i have used predator sense on it (which has a GPU overclock mode, but it only effects CPU! or maybe that's what i can find, because even on not overclocked mode, gpu core runs around 1560) and MSI afterburner (to overclock just a little (100MHz))

i can say that GPU does NOT heat (maybe only 3 degrees higher) which is in fact interesting

i guess i need to run more games to see if it gets too hot in specific case or not

so is my gpu overclocked <by acer> or not?

Most probably, nobody can tell unless you flash unlocked BIOS and check what TDP profile is set...

according to MSI afterburner, the power consumption is 80 watts for RTX2060

You can boost the freq. without tne need to increase the voltage, it depends on the gpu capabilities, there is even case when you can overclock and lower the voltage at the same ti e and it is stable. So without looking at the advanced options in BIOS nobody can tell what is your case.

in fact i think because it is overclocked, and it does not heat a lot, whether it's down volted or not, it's all good, i mean 80 watts gpu and higher performance! who can complain about it?!

    check this out:

according to this review(from a new Acer nitro 5), rtx 2060 on AN515-54-728 is overclocked by Acer itself! which means it must be safe!
