Unfortunately, if the AC jack has a fault, you are going to require service to rectify the issue.

Attempt to power the system solely with the AC adapter by removing the battery and then plugging it in.

If the same thing occurs, it is likely the adapter or the power system on the notebook.

We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.

Hi. I have the same issue with my Acer Aspire 6920. It keeps restarting when using AC power. I tried both with battery and without battery and it keeps restarting after a few minutes. When i tried accessing the BIOS i can't get through by pressing F2 when starting. It there a problem with my BIOS setting or CMOS battery?

You need to contact your local Acer service center.

Thanks for the quick response. One more question. I've changed my laptop settings, like power options and even the date and time (I set it to the current date). The next time i've turned my laptop on, all the settings goes back to its default value. The date and time goes back to the value before i changed it to the current date. What might be the problem of this? Is it connected with the restarting of my laptop everytime i plugged it in?
