Unplug all the wire that goes to the back of the monitor including the power cable and press and hold the power button on the monitor for 30 seconds and check

Looks like its a hardware issue. Display has to be changed.
Contact acer support or its part partners for the fix.

As I said its hardware issue. Try changing display alone. It should help you than a full repair cost.

Could see kind of crack on the left corner, i guess it would have happened since you put too much force to clean it.
Check with Acer support, if there damage i guess they might ask you to pay for it but check the below link to call Acer support.

    I have 2 questions:

    1. Is it dangerous a cracked screen?

    2. And can it cause Short circuit?

BTW, I bought a new monitor but now in 4k

As long as its on the desk with out movement you can use external monitor and enjoy :) since it happened while cleaning i dont think it will cause any strong effect on the unit. so dont worry. Image result for laptop screen connector cable

Yes, any time the glass is cracked you run the risk of hurting yourself, broken glass is very sharp, after all! There's less of a chance of shorting something out in the monitor, but when you repair the display you will be replacing the whole panel, not just the glass, so it's not as important.

That shouldn't happen, you would have to somehow drive the pieces of glass into the circuit boards to cause that to happen.

as billsey says it will happen only if it hit circuit. for eg if you drop your phone down and if the display breaks. we still use it with broken display sometimes. its in same way.  i have lot of experience in using broken phone display  :)
