    On my way to work so will look at that later. I have even tried using command prompts and tries navigating to the USB drive that should be z: drive

    Unless you have manually assigned Z: to the USB drive it should come up as the next letter available after any internal volumes are mounted. That's typically D : or E:. The RAM drive the installer mounts is usually X:...

    I did this in the beginning but it reached 64 percent than failed. I have a few days/nights off so will be investigating more

    Found an interesting article that not all bios will recognise usb 3 yet acer sent usb recover on USB 3. Will attempt to buy a USB 2 drive and transfer it and try again

    Hi. Just to let you know that I bought a 32gb USB 2.0 stick and transferred the recovery files. It seems to be working OK now. Acer sent it on USB 3 and that did not work. It is now recovering the system. Thanks for all your help.
