Hello everyone,
So I noticed that my Acer Nitro 5 laptop is connected to Intel UHD graphics instead of my NVIDIA GTX 1050.
So, my PC's refresh rate is 60hz instead of 144hz ! And i want to change that, but the problem is that I cant change the display...
Can somebody please be nice and help me ?

Thanks in advance :D

    Hi,
Go to NVIDIA Control panel, click Manage 3D settings in the left pane, select High Performance NVIDIA Processor in the dropdown menu, click Apply, then click Set PhysX Configuration, select GTX1050 in the dropdown menu, click Apply at the bottom.

    okay thanks !
i will try this when i will be able to use my computer.
but i noticed that in the 2nd picture you sent, the "laptop display" is set on "Intel UHD Graphics 630".
so does that mean that your computer runs on 60hz too ?
but anyways thanks a lot :D

  • Yes, I use Integrated graphics at the moment but I switch to dedicated graphics when I need more performance.

Yes, have you followed the instructions in my previous post? If not:
    1. Open NVIDIA Control panel.
    2. Click Manage 3D settings and switch to High Performance NVIDIA processor with the dropdown arrow, click Apply.
    3. Click Set PhysX configuration and switch to NVIDIA graphics with the dropdown arrow, click Apply.

Yes, I also have the same Advanced display settings in Windows but if you open Task Manager it clearly shows the dedicated card is active or run Nitrosense, it will show the temperatures and usage if you have dedicated graphics enabled.

    Hi,

reup on this, after formatting my Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52, same issue appears with the monitor. 144hz isn't available anymore :(

I tried reinstalling all drivers, doing the steps shown here, to no avail.

Games run at 10 FPS on low settings, even if the NVIDIA GPU activity shows that the game is running on it.

The monitor in the Device Manager shows "Generic PnP Display".

    Any idea ?

@Ilyess i reinstalled the Intel Graphic Chipset (the one that's not the NVIDIA GPU), and I finally have the 144hz back as well as properly working games

@AidenPearce can you teach me what to do? I have the same experience. My 144hz is not also working.
