Hi,
I accidentally damaged my old display and i broke some pixels in the lower left area, creating a vertical band on the left side (2-3 cm thick) that's not turning on, the rest of the display it's working correctly.
I decided to replace it and i bought a new one, same exact model and specs just to be sure it's compatible. When i connect it, nothing comes on screen and it stays black and not powered. The notebook it's working normally and i can connect a second monitor correctly, but the new monitor it's still totally invisible to my notebook and inside Windows(i also tried the hotkey to turn the display on/off but it didnt work). I know the new display it's ok cause i could test it on another pc, so what could be my problem?  I thought about a faulty cable, but my old monitor it's still working so i'm not sure what to think...

    >>> Try with Windows key and 'P'. to toggle the screen. check if the external monitor is detected.
How to Control What Multiple Displays Do on Windows 10

    >>> Update your computer by settings ->update and security ->check for updates option.

    >>> Try to do a power on self test on the monitor.
->> try to remove all the cables from the monitor, including the power cable. press and hold the power button for 30sec and then connect the monitor cables. after connecting the cables ,restart the laptop.

Hi, i tried what you told me but i couldnt make it work.
When i turn my notebook on with a second external monitor(via HDMI port) i can boot to Windows but i can only see the external one, my internal display it's not detected. When i turn the notebook on without an external monitor nothing shows up on screen, it's basically dead, but i can hear the system sounds confirming me that the notebook boots to Windows fine.

It looks like its a hardware issue on the internal display.
